’90 Day Fiance’ Stars with Mugshots

Knox County Police Department

Plenty of reality TV stars end up in the back of a squad car–or even behind bars. We can probably thank Paris Hilton for both the reality TV boom and the trend of getting into trouble with the law. But today we’re looking at two stars from the guilty pleasure “90 Day Fiancé” franchise.

Jorge Nava Is Enjoying His Freedom

Jorge Nava, who appeared on the TLC program while romancing a Russian model, was just released from prison this week. Nava spent two years behind bars–and he’s already back on Instagram.

He posted a picture of himself leaning against a white Corvette with the caption: “The sky is the limit🙏 #freedom.”

Nava served two years of his sentence in an Arizona state prison. He’ll finish the final six months on community supervision, a more relaxed version of parole.

The reality star landed behind bars in 2018 when he was pulled over with almost 300 pounds of marijuana in his trunk. He was charged with multiple felonies, including the intent to transport or sell drugs. However, Nava was able to get a reduced sentence as part of a plea bargain.

Nava recently appeared on an episode of “90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined” to talk about this relationship with Russian model Anfisa Arkhipchenko. Apparently, she didn’t stand by her man when he went to prison.

“Right now, we are technically legally married, but I ended up finding out through the internet that she was actually with someone else and that definitely hurt. It really broke my heart. But there’s really no way for me to do anything from in here,” Nava said.

Larissa Dos Santos Lima Arrested for Domestic Battery

In November 2018, TLC star Larissa Dos Santos Lima raised quite a few eyebrows with her erratic social media posts. She seemed to believe that her then-husband, Colt Johnson, had deactivated and hidden her phone. She begged for help from fans on Instagram, leading many to believe that Johnson was abusing her.

However, the real story turned out to be a bit different. Johnson later announced, “Larissa was arrested this afternoon. She suffers from high anxiety and several [sic] depression. She over reacted to problems that do not exist.”

“Not long after her cry was posted, the police came and knocked down the front door. They drew their guns at me and handcuffed me,” Johnson wrote on his Instagram.

“The police interviewed us but not long after they decided to arrest Larissa. No one was hurt and I did not press charges against my wife. However it is policy in the state of Nevada that since we are in a domestic partnership, someone had to be arrested.”

Dos Santos Lima had previously been arrested for domestic violence sometime in 2018, but the charges were dropped. The Brazilian reality star later filed a police report against on-again, off-again boyfriend Eric Nichols following her divorce from Johnson.

Geoffrey Paschel’s Serious Rap Sheet

The latest “90 Day Fiancé” star to tangle with the law is Geoffrey Paschel. He is starring on the current season of the TLC show, which started in April, but he’s already stirred up a ton of controversy.

Paschel is romantically linked to a Russian woman named Varya–but there’s so much more to his story than that. He has a major rap sheet, dating back to the 90s. But before you think he’s turned over a new leaf, consider that his most recent arrest was last year.

In January 2019, he was arrested for a violent altercation in which he allegedly attacked his girlfriend at the time. He was charged with aggravated kidnapping and domestic assault. His second wife (of four total) also accused him of assault. Reaching even further back, the teenage Paschel began racking up drug charges as well as arrests for larceny.

Fans are starting to wonder why producers didn’t do a better job of screening him before the show aired. Given his record, some viewers are calling for him to be removed from the reality show entirely.
